The LiV Surge is an electric plug-in car that uses lithium-ion batteries manufactured by Li-ion Motors. The LiV Surge has top speeds of 80 miles per hour with acceleration from 0 to 60 in nine seconds. The LiV Surge uses 10 (550 lbs / 250 kg) maintenance-free lithium ion high energy density and light weight rechargeable battery packs that recharge in eight hours. On a single charge, the LMCO’s LiV Surge can travel up to 120 miles more than enough for most daily city driving. The LiV Surge charges easily by plugging into an outlet of 110-120ACV or 220-240VAC.

The LiV Surge has a touch screen display that gives vehicle information including miles driven, miles remaining, total power consumption, charge level for each of the cells, battery temperature , and average speed.

The LiV Surge electric motor consists of a 3 phase, brushless A/C motor - 78 kW peak i.e. 105 hp with a total weight of 3376 lbs (1531 kg) and length of 168.9 inches (4290 mm).

Li-ion Motors’ LiV Surge chassis comprises front and rear tires of 195-65-15 mm, front disc - rear drum brakes and a rack and pinion steering. It offers six inches (152 mm) ground clearance and a wheelbase of 103 inches (2616 mm).
